Sama-Sama // Cirque Du Soleil

Idzard Kwadijk was asked by Cirque du Soleil (Ritmus LTD) to help with the development, optimization, and implementation of the Sama-Sama Live Experience, produced in partnership between Cirque du Soleil and Sama-Sama Creative Labs. Sama-Sama Live is a multisensory entertainment experience combining elements from live shows, theme parks and interactive events. Visitors experience the story by participating within various interactive installations. The crowd can jump, climb, run, drum, sing, and play futuristic instruments with the performers. The show was developed in Tel Aviv and Los Angeles, and premiered in the Madrid Arena, Spain.
Under the creative lead of Art Director Pamela Schneider and Ronen Tanchum, Kwadijk was responsible for the technical development of three of the show’s ten attractions. Idzard wrote a custom software architecture in TouchDesigner which managed all show control and scene changes, running on a cluster of TouchDesigner machines.
